Chris:
A wood router or plasma device is exactly why I wrote
MasterControlCNC. It's inherint limitations in windows make it more suitable
for that purpose. That having been said, I have cut many signs and
engravings with little or
no problems.
It can be downloaded at :
http://users.andara.com/~fenerty/master.htm
In it present incarnation, it will do wood routing quite well
and as an added feature will even turn off your system when its finished the
job. (thats if your brave enough to
leave while its cutting.).
The next incarnation will be completely new and driven from a
win98/win2000 WDM driver in ring0 with very low latency. This will be in
about 6 months.
In the meantime drop me a note if you need a hand understanding how to use
it.
