RFS, Chris,
It's hard to advise you, not knowing where you're going, but if you're
talking Plasma and Router, why not look at Dennis' SuperCam? You can
import .DXF files from Autocad, or draw and cut stuff in SuperCam.
Another way, if you were more interested in machining metal, would be to
use a .DXF to Gcode converter, and run something like Yeager's CNCpro,
with the ACE file converter. There are also some "freeware" or beta's
that you can get to try out. Later, step up to a CAD/CAM program, and
take it's gcode output directly to the controller program.
