Alan,

The unit uses a hot wire for the cutting. It's like an EDM but simpler. I have a few programs for airfoil design but mostly I use airfoils designed by the experts.

So I take it you are doing 4-axis wire EDM? and you use a pair of Z
axis motors to get the tapers? Sounds like interesting stuff. What do
you use to design the airfoils?
