Terry,

65535, as you may know, is 2 raised to the 16th power. So it would
appear that Otto(programmer of MaxNC) used a 16 bit data type for
this setting. Which means you're stuck, until he changes it for you...

BUT, there IS a work around!

Since you need twice as many steps per unit, change the size of the
part. Set the MaxNC setting to exactly 1/2 of what you truly need,
then make your part twice the size. DON'T use the MaxNC scaling to
do this, you need a part program that is created twice normal size,
and the maxNC scale just multiplies the given number internally so it
will not work.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I am setting up a Camtronics controler with maxpro software but I am
having trouble setting the resolution for the leadscrew and cam setup
I am using. I originally had a Maxnc retrofit kit and I could set the
resolution to give me the correct indicator reading for the imput but
I guess the halfstep of the Camtronics is too much. The maximum
resolution PR.EXE is 65000 and I need twice that, is there anyway
the
programme can be altered rather that changing to a coarser screw.
Thanks, T. Ackland
