cnc4me,
I just did an eGroups search of "measure torque" and found a
"reference" to the cord and bucket system, while The author explained
how he uses/used pliers and towel to create load, and measure the
torque of a stepper.
And several other pertinent posts.
I think there are two things happening here:
One, the eGroups search is done in parts. You have to click on the
right(next msg please) arrow to continue the search BACKWARDS to ever
more ancient prior posts.
Two, sometimes we "remember" something we saw on this list, BUT it
WASN'T from this list! Most of us are getting our info these days
from a variety of sources, and I know that I don't always correctly
remember WHERE I learned/found something!
BTW, I am NOT saying this text index is anything BUT a GOOD IDEA!
Just want all to know that the "search" we currently have DOES work.
