Hurro,

Ay, that would be one way to do it...

Just reading through some e-mail from Scott (The guy who used my design...)
he's replaced the copper washer with a slightly oversize (machined?) ptfe
washer, and just did everything up tight. He figured that the ptfe would
apply some "sprung" preload to the bearings. The interaction between the
faceplates and the screw nut were annoying him... I would have thought that
the annealed copper would give enough "spring" but apparently not...

> You don't really need to mill a slot for a keyway Chris. Just file a slot
across the shaft. Use a small square file and cut the slot deep enough to
serve the same purpose. A key mounted this way is less likely to fall out
if the screw comes loose too.
