The real-time patch must be exactly in sync with the kernel revision.
RedHat 5.2 is not anywhere specific enough, as Redhat has the awful
practice of shipping differen kernel versions under the same RadHat
version. The correct kernel for the present is 2.0.36. This is compatible
with a specific realtime patch kit, as well as the latest versions of
EMC. So, make sure you have exactly the 2.0.36 kernel before
attempting to install the patch. I had this sort of mismatch when I
was starting out, and it mangled my kernel source so bad, I had to
reinstall all of Linux.
