Look at the bottom of the end mill...the cutting flutes across the face will go all the way to the ceter of the mill. When you order the end mills, the catalog will specify if they are center cutting.

If you replace a standard straight (cuts square corners) cutting end mill with one having corner cutting radii, you won't need to make any software changes. Just be aware tho' that ALL the inside corners would then have a corner fillet after cutting.

I never drill a pilot hole. My draft operations are usually with center cutting end mill
(I guess), as they're either with a ball end mill or with a big 1/8" (OK, for me that's
HUGE) end mill. I don't know how to tell if this thing is center cutting or not.
How do I tell?
