Great deals on encoders

Tim, from your comments, and inferring from Andy's, the $4 motor/encoder
combo uses a HEDS 9100 encoder which will work with a 360 count linear
strip from US Digital, effectively saving $27 per encoder. Am I
interpreting your results correctly? Did you only test the rotary disc
on the motor? I have not really checked out the specs on the 9100
encoder, but need to purchase a few for my DRO, and if I can save the
$$, I'll certainly do so. Thanks for the confirmation, and let me know
if I'm reading more into your note than I should...
