I think you will run into a problem with a 1000 count 4000 quadrature
encoder with a 10 TPI leadscrew. That would work out to 40000 counts per
inch. Tom has set the program so the maimum count is about 38000 per inch. A
friend in Australia discovered it. Tom says he'll fix that. In any case
those encoder heads should work with the linear strips or and encoder with
less than 800 counts per rev assuming that you are using a 5-10 TPI
leadscrew.
