The script should look just like a DOS batch file to you.
You can do all the RT compiling manually and then you can make the kernel
from the console without requiring 800 x 600. You will need to play with the
EMC interface to get it to format down to a 640 x 480 display, but that has
been done in the past.
OTOH, it is sounding like you may want to take a look at CNCPro. The
advantage to EMC is that you are getting a pretty high end controller for a
very low end price. It handles more g-codes than CNCPro from what I
understand.
