Oh, you mean the " six munce ago I cudn't spel inginar, now I are one" syndrome.
For a 'dumb' engineer I'd say you do quite well. ;-)

Just as an aside:
Indeed if you apply enough torque almost any shaft will twist.
My father used a couple of magnetic sensors to measure shaft twist on the small (early) .0.220 MW units at Coulee.( approx36" dia
shafts) Align a couple magnetic pickups under static conditions the open the penstock gate and load the unit and measure the time
between top and bottom pulse. Calculating the twist is pretty easy when you know the shaft speed.
