Hi, keeping things in perspective, 800 in/oz at 1250 RPM is darn
close to 1HP. This power can move a lot of heavy things around in a
great hurry. 1HP will accelerate a 1500 lb load at 1G to 250 IPM,
neglecting transmission efficiency. That means a reaction force of
3/4 tons. I'm not sure how good that would be on a leadscrew, yet it
would deflect torsionally only 0.06 degrees. A 1,000 line encoder
resolution (1 count) would be 0.09 degrees.
