Earlier versions of the i-opener (which I have) came with a 200+/- MHZ
Winchip, and the recent ones have a 266MHz Rise CPU. The recent
motherboards have support for dual-voltage processors, and people have been
putting in K6-III's.

You really need to put in a hard disk to anything realistic with the i-o.
Current versions have BIOS that doesn't recognize HD, but fortunately, BIOS
is flashable, and there are earlier BIOS images available "out there"...

It really is a sweet little machine after you put in a HD. 800x600 LCD
display (passive matrix, so you won't be watching DVD's on it...) and a
minimal footprint.

If I had a second one, I'd really seriously be looking at it for the CNC
controller.

Randy
