You have a very valid point in this last statement. I have on many occasions
tried to get information from suppliers using my home address with no
company name and no results. Then I started to use a fictional design
company name, I have been on some mailing lists for a couple of years now
getting regular updates and product release notes. One friend went as far as
to get business cards made up for trade shows. Sometimes you can even get
free samples when they think you an industrial designer.
