Jon,
According to the literature I dug out, they use ABEC class 7 bearings.
A standard straight replacement with 3 bearings is (was?) $349,
what they call a 5 pak is 4 bearings at the taper end (replacing the
spacers with another pair) and one up top, for $400. Top of the line is
the 6 pak, which puts two bearings at the top end, and they need the
quill for this mod, $550. All prices include regrinding the taper and a
3-day lead time is standard. They do use an import bearing.
I was quoted $450 to do my quill with 3 Barden bearings...
Number is 503-691-0955, they're in Tualatin, OR.
