If your building a spindle, you might want to try looking at the MSC
catalog. They have straight shank double angle collet chucks with 1/2" dia.
shanks that can easily be "fixed" within your spindle. In fact, if you
designe the spindle right you could put a manual drawbar thru the spindle.
this would allow you to have several "quick change" chucks available with
tools already installed. Minimum drill size for these is 1/64".
