The revised interpreter is available from sourceforge and we just made
it a part of the source code when you pack up a download. This has full 6
axis g-code like you would like to run and it produces the cannonical
commands to do those extra tasks.

At the other end, the stepper drivers are capable of running six motors.
The pinouts for the extra three motors are on Tim's site.

What has been missing is the real guts of the coordinated motion planning
for a full six axis system. A year ago now I demonstrated how you could
use a fourth axis as an indexer with tkemc but did not have the ability to
code those moves in. Now Will at NIST is very close to at least five
axis. He said in a developer post yesterday,

-----Will's post to emc-developers-----
I just committed a fairly extensive set of changes to the CVS archive.
Adds some support for programming ABC moves with the new interpreter.
* See the sections 2.1.2.2 Rotational Axes and 2.1.2.5 Feed Rate in the
RS274NGC_3 manual.
http://www.isd.mel.nist.gov/personnel/kramer/pubs/RS274NGC_3.web/RS274NGC_3TOC.html
* trivkins maps A to joint 3, b to joint 4, c to joint 5, genhexkins
maps A to roll, B to pitch and C to Yaw, and modifies all the joint
angles, strut/cable lengths accordingly.
---end----=

It sounds like the code is there and needs to be setup and tested by the
couragous.

So it sounds like your hardware is ready. And the software is getting
very close.

Hi Jon !Why set up the kinematics ? I just want to drive a "simple"
5-axis-mashine , no Hexapod and no robot.
3 linear axis ( X,Y,Z) and two rotary axis (B,C ). The wright kinematic is
figured out by the postprocessor of the programming system.
Using G01 X100 Y50 Z30 B10 C20 all axis should start and finish their way at
the same time. X,Y,Z moving in mm, B,C in degrees.
With the ZIPEMC-CD I was told it works only 3-axis interpolating, 4th Axis
only in "Jog".
Then, perhaps 6 weeks ago (or so) someone announced EMC would now be working
for 5 (or 6?) axis.
But the newest EMC - Version I can find is older than that.
( If it is of intrest - Im working as an CNC-Programmer at www.praewest.com
( look at the produktion/quality assurance ))
