Don't do a DOS FDISK. The Linux install routine will not delete any
non-linux partitions and is designed to create it's own ext2 and swap
patition. What you want to do is use the DOS (or win95 or win98) FDISK
utility from a boot floppy to delete all partitions and then start the Linix
install on a raw drive.
