Hi Alan,
The only real distinction is that, as a watch tends to be a relatively fixed
size, you find a lot more ingenuity applied to shoehorning all the
complicated additions to the main timekeeping function into the space
available. Of course, working on such mechanisms also needs a bit more care
and precision but the rewards are commensurate with the effort involved.
