Linux/EMC users,

There is a real-time patch for Red Hat 6.0, but I haven't tried this
yet. The patch is a big jump from the one I currently support, since it
adds symmetric multiprocessing for machines with more than one CPU on
board.

Carles Perello reported that you can get Red Hat 6.0 (which comes with
Linux kernel version 2.2.something), then download the sources and
headers for Linux kernel version 2.0.36, replace the 2.2.X ones with the
2.0.36 ones, and proceed as if you had Red Hat 5.2. Note that this means
you lose the symmetric multiprocessing and other neat features of 2.2,
but those are not required by the EMC.
