Jon,

My first crack at digitizing was with a micro switch mounted to a .25"
rod in the Sherline's collet. switch connects to pin 31 and ground
(MaxNC pinouts). Attach a 1K pull-up resistor (.1w) between +5v and pin
31. No schmitt triggers yet. Just read the printer status port, and
look at the SLCT line. As that piece of code need only FIND a "LOW"
once for a "SENSE", it's all we need. If someone has 3 switches to "OR"
together, then might as well add some conditioning.
