restarting from the middle of a program is handled differently
from one machine to the next these are the two I usualy work with

one way is to manually move a cursor or pointer to the program line you
want to start on and the machine will restart from there , moving
in X/Y before Z but its still up to you to make sure it will clear

another has a RESTART command so you select
AUTO-RESTART-(key in line number say N300)-SEQUENCE_START
the machine will then move to the condition of the line before
the one you keyed in and resume the cycle at N300
so if N300 is a tool change the machine will move to the clear point
change tools and start safely from there
