I was worried about this, but I've had no trouble. I have a PWM VFD on
the spindle that produced so much hash it fouled up the computer in my
air compressor, and I have PWM servo amps that are switching 69 V
at 100 KHz and feeding it to the servo motors just inches from the
encoders, but I've NEVER had a problem with it. So, for the moment
I have not put differential drivers on the encoders. I DID use shielded
cables for the encoders, however.
