Biggest problem with using screws for a plasma rig would be getting the top
speeds you need. Seem to remember talking to my friend and feeds for thin
materials can be over 100 ipm. If the table is very big it could take some
pretty massive screws to eliminate whip. Rack and pinion or direct belt
drive seem like a better way to go for this purpose.
