Re: EMC up and running

I picked up a AST Pentium 100 yeterday for $75. 24mb mem .5gb hd. All
the io stuff built-in. Changed the hd to a 1gb, added mouse and monitor,
and installed Linux/RT/EMC. It seems to work fine. Got xwindows to run
the first try. I guess after installing lnx/rt/emc on three boxes I'm
getting the hang of it. EMC runs ok, will see how it acts when hooked
to the control with only 24mb of mem. The AST has only 6 memory slots -
can't add the other 8mb of mem without buying all new memory.

I did of course have to modify the Lilo config and emc files for the
lower amount of memory.
