though I think steppers are fairly rare. There are different "levels" of
Bandit controls, offering different features. I passed on a Bridgeport
CNC for 4 grand once because it had a Bandit control (and partly because
it was the larger mill with a riser and wouldn't fit in my garage...).
Thing I don't like about Bandits is you can only view your program one
line at a time. This can make it difficult to keep track of where you
are in the program if you are going through and editing. If you can set
it up to download programs from a PC and keep one close by, you can get
around that by editing on the PC and downloading into the control.
Cumbersome, but better than editing the wrong line...
I viewed that auction on Ebay, the machine looks pretty clean.
