You miss my point. A Standard is a STANDARD because most people use it.
Metric has become an ipso-facto standard in most things mechanical these
days. You can't buy truly hi-tech anymore if not in metric. Look for an
imperial screw in anything from MRI's to VCR's to computers, to most
machines, and you'll only find it typically in low end systems. At least
thats my experience.
