The benefits of using windows is over shadowed by the lack of G codes. The
flashcut system doesn't do cutter diameter compensation nor can I tell that
is does the drill cycles. For 1100 for the flashcut system I think the ah-ha
artisian and their interface board would be a much, much better buy. All my
shop computers are DOS based, As fast as I can walk from my office CAD
program to my shop (<10 seconds) I can start a program plus once the system
is check for stability. I can be in my office while the machine is running
out in the shop.
But if you are really in love with windows and don't mind the lack of G
codes then I think the flashcut signal generator is fine. Check back latter
in the week . I may come up with a little adapter to match up mmy controller
wiith the flashcut system.
