I haven't read Boatbuilder (I think I'll check itout). Nearly all of the info
I've gotten has been from Bruce Roberts' web site. For a 'radius chine' hull
they say that the chine plates need to be rolled prior to assembly. Mostly that
applies to sail boats.
For a displacement or semi-displacement power boat hull (that's what I'm
considering), the chine design looks much different and there seems to be much
less pre-rolling of the plates involved.
There a a number of links on Robert's site showing powerboat construction; it
looks fairly straightforward as near as I can tell.
