My Drill/Mill has arrived!!

Got my ENCO Drill/Mill yesterday afternoon. It looks real nice. No
rust anywhere. (That was a worry of mine) I'm quite overwhelmed right
now. The weight is more than I can handle. I got the head off the
machine with the help of a friend. We setup the stand and was able to
put the base unit on top of it last night. Now with the base on the
stand it places the top of the column about head high. This will make
placing the head on it real hard.

I'm going to use it manually for a little while before I design my
servo motors to fit it. Right now I'm very confused on how I will
ever fit it with ball screws. It's the y-axis screw that will be
hard. Not from a design stand point, but because it's under the base
and the pure weight of things make it impossible to just flip it over
anytime I want to work on it.

To all you guys out there who has added ball screws to your drill
mill….. How did you do it?
