It is not that the aerobes don't stink, they just don't make the really nasty smelling stuff that the anaerobes manufacture. The
aeration is certainly worth a try...it sounds good. :-)

You might talk to the supplier/producer of your oil and see what they recommend. They may have some ideas about pH and content of
heavy metals, etc. Cu, Ni, Pb, etc that will tend to inhibit growth also. Haas may have some recommendations in addition.
