Ok Guys, getting my act together now. Thanks for the pin outs from various
people. I was getting thrown by counting round in a semi circle and the first /
last pin wasn't connected.
Order a better case today and some more keypads.
I found a small PCB mounted joystick that moves 8 ways with a push command on
the stick as well. I've ordered one just to see what it's like. The AHHA will
only accept one axis jogging at a time so I might have to mill a cross in the
case to prevent the moves at 45 degrees.
If it works I hope to put the push switch to shift so that I can get the same
switch to move rapids.
My son played around with the DOS command ANSI last night to remap switches.
To reference an axis on AHHA you need 6 keystrokes- Clear- Yes - X - Set- Yes -X
He got F2 to put up CYXSYX on the screen but the Ahha program obviously over
rides this and it doesn't work.
Any ideas gang ?

I have been told about a fully programmable keyboard in the US, not released
here in the UK yet.

These people sell the chips etc, I contacted them but they were talking about
quantities of around 200. I really like the idea I may buy one when I'm over in
the US in November.

Scrapped another keyboard today so that I can map the keys out better. The board
I had before was just a bare board so this one should be easy.
For anybody interested in the AHHA software there used to be a demo on their web
site at www.ahha.com that's the full program other than you can't edit in it.
I don't know why they removed this as you can go into DOS and use edit.
Without the board it can't be used so they could have left the full version on.
