Marco,

Build what you think will work. Then you will find out what part
does, and what does not, meet your needs. You may even find that it
works as you need it to! It is truly amazing just how many different
approaches to this cnc thing work!

"Fear is a thief which makes us fear to tread where we might have won"
Wm. Shakespeare

"A ship in a harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are for"
W. Churchill

"You can't steal home with your foot on third base"
??(anyone know?)

"Fortune rewards the bold"
Virgil

And finally, which would you rather do? Create from scratch; or
modify/improve something that kinda works? Get that "rough draft"
built, and you will have something to edit :-)

Hope this helps.

P.S. Accuracy is the hardest machine quality to achieve. Always has
been. Repeatability is much easier. If you have repeatability, you
can "derive" or "create" accuracy. Many people have used their first
generation machine to make a more accurate 2nd generation machine by
compensating for the inaccuracies of the "first gen" machine in the
toolpath. This was true even before CNC! An old Digital Tool flyer I
have shows their "manufacturing" area: The pic shows one of their
early machines. If you look closely, you can see compensation notes
written on the table! Things like +5 or -3. They were making "correct-
ed" parts on an inaccurate machine.
