Hi John,

That's mostly correct. CNCpro, and most others do not use a signal
generator. Desk NC for windows (just coming out) does (comes with the
software).

I'd like to recommend you get the Sherline motor mount kit. Comes with
a new Z lead screw (or it did), and is the best I've seen and used.
