Fred,
I just loaded the 14-sep-1999 release on my backup system and I am having
some major problems. I made no changes to my run or ini files. When I start
EMC it comes up just fine, but once I am in the Xemc interface I can't load
a program in auto mode and in MDI or manual I can't get it to show that it
is generating any motion (coordinates do not change). This system is not
hooked to a controller, so I don't know if it is actually sending steps to
the parallel port or not. In auto mode if I click open or press "o" I get
the normal dialog box, but upon entering a program and clicking OK or
pressing enter the dialog box closes , but the program never loads into the
bottom window. If I press "e" I get the edit window displaying the program.
My vote on the distribution site is I don't care. I have no problem
downloading via http or ftp.
