Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Text editing in DOS

Hi Tom,

Sounds like a useful utility, I haven't heard of anyone doing it yet.
Wouldn't be too hard to write. I have a small editor, but it only works
on a memory buffer, so the file size would be limited. Actually, I
tried writing a browser (?) for navigating directories and finding
files, I suppose one could display the "first line of text", without too
much problem (one file at a time). But I still have the 64K file size
limit... :>(

One could write a command line (DOS) program to read all the files in a
directory with a wildcard parameter ("PART??.CNC"), and generate output
(for a pipe '>'), that would be the file name and "first line" as you
suggest. Is that what you're looking for?
