Compucutter?

I am looking to convert a mill/drill like cadman, and wondered if anyone had ever use the compucutter system? If people have what do you think? Would the electronics be strong enough to power three Type 34 stepper motors? Is it better to make your own electrical box? I have looked over it but found that I am not very good at the electrics? What do people think? Anyone know of companys that sell a similar system?
