Hi Anthony,

If I recall, we had a thread on Compucutter a while back. I was a
little more hobby orientated, and used a modified HPGL file format. I
don't think the steppers were that big. I was not able to find the
email or URL in my archives.
IMO, you'd be better off with *STANDARD* Gcode, and run Camtronics or
Gecko drivers. Then you can choose from several controllers, see the
FAQ.

By "electrical box", I think you mean the power supply / drivers? You
can certainly do that. The electrical work is not difficult, but if
you're not sure, find someone to help! See Jeff's (a.k.a. CADMAN)
site! He got a whole crew to build his! SuperCam has completed
"boxes", which may be more convenient for you.

Would the electronics be strong enough to power three Type 34 stepper motors? Is it better to make your own electrical box? I have looked over it but found that I am not very good at the electrics? What do people think? Anyone know of companys that sell a similar system?
