Yeah, I figured it'd be a bit complicated...and probably too expensive for
the home shop. The foundry we visited recently only does 30 pounds at one
time. But they bought their own generator and cooling system.
they cast about 1500 rifle actions a month and only cast on Wednesdays.

I'll have to stick to either LP gas for small runs or build a small cupola
furnace (and learn to use it) if I wanted to melt a lot at one time.

Of course I also have the option of using coal in a small crucible type
furnace for small batches of iron/steel too.
