With 2 coils at 9V and 1.2 Amps, that is 2 * 9 * 1.2 =
21.6 W, not counting iron and eddy losses due to the
switching driver (which is usually small). Is the motor
getting hotter than a 20 W light bulb the same size?
Probably not. 9 V 1.2 A sounds pretty high for just
100 Oz-In.
