Shabbir,

Steppers do run hot!

If you have the current set correctly (usually a potentiometer, dip
switch, or resistor on bipolar drives; and the power "dropping"
resistors on unipolar drives) then the heat is normal. There should
be less heat when the motors are running compared to when they are
stopped (idling).
