Hi John,

I can't answer the first two points but from there on.....

3] Yes, EMC will work and display in metric as a default. The files I have
on my machine all work in metric.
4] Yes, the BDI will work with either steppers or servos. The actual setup
for the type of motor is in the ini file. The sample files with the BDI CD
include at least one using steppermod. If you are intending using a
reasonably modern machine - more than 200MHz processor, you could optiunally
use freqmod which has some advantages over steppermod. I have both working
on my p233 machine.
5] Only some means of connecting all the G320s to the parallel port plug on
the back of the PC - either a basic home-made connector box or just a rats
nest of wire all joined to one plug!
You may also, of course, wish to put home/limit switches on the machine and
these will also link back through the parallel port. If you are wanting to
get really fancy you may need a second parallel port for extra inputs but
this would only be for spindle motor control etc.
Do you want me to send you a BDI CD?

Ian
