The manual for my 6T says that some of them were shipped without
CRT's. The 6T is a much more powerful control than the 5T. The 5T
does not support contour roughing cycles nor tool nose radius
compensation. Access to the 5T data entry and display is only
through the led strip, which shows one word address at a time(with a
lighted indicator) and it's corresponding value. The program memory
in the 5T is an obsolete cmos chip that is out of production and at
one time had become increasingly difficult to obtain. Many people
switched to a BTR on these machines rather than try to keep the
internal program memory working.

The 5T was strictly a paper tape machine, but the 6T often shipped
with an RS-232 interface. Both were available with a punch port.
