The time LILO waits before booting the default is a parameter you
can change in the /etc/lilo.conf file, before you run lilo.

If you don't have the XFree86 windows up, then you can change the .ini
file to use the keystick not-gui, which works, but is pretty primitive
compared to
Xemc and TkEmc. If you have the Xwindows working, then you can go
to the emc directory (mine is /usr/local/emc) with a command like
cd /usr/local/emc
and then run the file of your choice, which might be
./emc.run

This file has a lot of startup stuff, but the only thing a user would want
to
modify is the .ini program it selects, on about the 3rd line or so.

You should have a file in /etc/X11/XF86Setup, but if the install couldn't
find
an acceptable video card, it may not install the XFree86 Xwindows software.
