I can start up explorer and use squirrel mail to delete unwanted
messages right on the server before they up load. This works as long
as there aren't to many messages. This list makes it relatively
impractical - to many messages.

I don't really have to do that because I read E-mail with Agent which
is immune to nearly all of the viruses - it has no macro language,
doesn't understand html or anything except ascii.
