Cut your MAX_VELOCITY in both the [TRAJ] and in the individual axis's by 4
to start with. That should get EMC to come up with the proper step
dimensions (but maybe a little slow in the rapids depending upon where you
have them set). I am guessing you are using freqmod??? If so to get a higher
rapid you will need to decrease the period as you increase the MAX_VELOCITY
settings.

What is happening is that the required steps per second for the current max
velocity are so high that it locks up EMC on startup. Not sure how it all
fits together that it would actually cause a hang on launch, but I
experienced this when I was playing with EMC on a slow system so that I had
the period set fairly high to get reasonable UI response. Was trying to get
a decent feed rate on a G320 with 1000 line encoders.
