Well I did all that except for a copy. Every cad program I have
played with and "played' is the proper term, you have been able to
scale an existing drawing. I tried selecting all the elements and
then changing the scale and that didn't seem to work.
I find vector very different in many respects.....
What I keep trying to do is fine a package I am willing to spend the
time to learn that I can also afford to own legally. I have bought
Auto Sketch (in the Dos days), Turbo Cad 2 and 6, This 15 dollar
Vector offer. I have also downloaded several freeware/shareware
versions over the years. Have had the chance to try auto cad on
other systems but haven't any programs that seems worthwhile to
really learn for my limited usage.
I think Cad is a lot like word processing for me. I really prefer some
of the real old ways as they were easier for my strange mind to
work with. Wilt all the power comes increased complications that I
don't get enough seat time to really get comfortable with. However I
love the ease of printing that has came with the newer operating
systems. I remember well finding programs I loved but being unable
to find a printer driver for the program.
Vector has a lot of things I like but I find it real hard to find "how" to
do what I don't grasp easily. I have never found anything I looked for
in the help section to be helpful.
I think my mind might work better with a modeler than a drawing
program but I haven't ever had the chance to play with one of these
because of cost.
