Hi, well steppers when they are big tend to be slow,also most systems do not
have an encoder so they can miss steps,they can be fussy sometimes if the
load is complex. servo motors must use feedback,either an encoder or other
devices, power level for size is greater,and some controllers use step and
direction input same as steppers,controllers are a bit more expensive but
acceleration is easily controlled and many motors are available on the
used/nos market. cul brian f.
