Dave,
directly as a conventional servo motor, in servo mode with
step/direction input, or accept motion control commands and execute from
remote input, and you can even use one motor to control others. Cost for
the highest performance motor in a N23 frame is around $1400, and each
motor requires it's own power supply, another couple hundred. Be nice to
have some money...
hit some surplus outlets. Weird Stuff, HSC, and Haltec are my usual
stops. You recommend any others, with emphasis on motion control/CNC
type stuff?
